Issue of scholarship and aid funds in 1998:

1. 3 young teachers of Shanghai University and East China Teacher's University were rewarded Rifang Scholarship and were sent to Japan to study for a year.

2. 28 senior 2 students of Weiyu(Southwest), Shixi, Nanmo, Datong, Jiading No.1, Songjiang No.2 and No.3 High School were provided with Singapore Educational Department scholarship to study in Singapore.

3. 6 junior students of Nanyang, Fudan Middle School were sent to Laves College in Singapore with scholarship.

4. Assisted Changyang Bank of Japan to aid 30 needy students financially in Jinshan County.

5. “Hashimoto Aid Funds” were used to aid the Humanity and Healthy Kindergarten.

Issue of scholarship and aid funds in 1999:

1. SEAIE offered scholarship to arrange 2 students from Ryukoku University of Japan to study in Fudan University and 1 to study in Shanghai Teacher's University.

2. Transfer the stationery provided by Joyo Bank of Japan to the Jinshan Education Bureau.

3. One young teacher each from East China Teacher's University, Shanghai Teacher's University and Shanghai Foreign Trade College were arranged by SEAIE to study in University of Japan with scholarship.

4. SEAIE provided scholarship to 3 students from Ryukku University of Japan to study in Shanghai for a year.

5. Assisted Gaoshi Corporation of Britain to hold the exam to choose students to study in Britain with scholarship and 1 student from No.3 Middle School won it.

6. Assisted Singapore Educational Department to choose 20 students to get the “College Scholarship Item” to study in Singapore.
