SEAIE offers the agency service for the paid or voluntary service personnel, foreign culture and education experts and teachers who intend to be engaged in education in Shanghai. It mainly contains:

1. Establish the demand store of the educational, scientific enterprises in Shanghai for the foreign people to consult.

2. Receive the consultation of the people of all kinds of languages and specialties and recommend to a suitable company; establish the individual information store for him for the companies to see about.

3. Entrusted and authorized by Shanghai Education Committee, we are responsible for the transaction of all the necessary certificates and procedure for the foreign experts and teachers to work in Shanghai. Besides, we provide the consultation on the related policy and law too.

The document that the school for the children of foreigners working in Shanghai should present to employ foreign teachers:

¡ñThe document needed to employ a new teacher (work as a teacher for the first time): l School's report on engagement( to Shanghai Education Commission)

¡ñThe resume and the copy of the passport of the teacher that the school intends to employ, two copies respectively

¡ñTwo application forms of "The Confirmation on the engagement of Foreign Experts"( to Education Committee and the Office of the External Affair)

¡ñThe following is also required if the teacher has relatives along with him or her to Shanghai

¡ñThe copies of the passports of the relatives and the relationship with the teacher It takes 7 working days to deal with the things above and the charge is RMB350 per person, including the fee to get the expert card

2. As soon as the teacher gets to China, he/she has to fill out the "Application Form for Foreign Culture and Education Expert" immediately and apply for the expert card so as¡ñto get the residence permit.

The school should present:

¡ñThe original "Application form for Foreign Culture and Education Expert"( with the photo), the copy one and one two-inch photo

¡ñA one-inch photo of the relative

It takes 7 working days for the things above.

3. The document needed for renewing the engagement:

¡ñSchool's report on engagement(to Education Committee)

¡ñThe original expert card

It takes 7 working days for the things above and the charge is RMB150

4. If you are to change for the new card, please represent the document needed for renewing the engagement, the application form and a two-inch photo.

It takes 7 working days for the things above and the charge is RMB250.

It is supposed to represent the document according to the procedures above for applying for the confirmation permit and expert card, and please fetch the permit and card on time.
